Care for advanced liver and GI disease.
The same specialty map as Southern California Liver Centers, delivered at the four northern offices.
Specialties
What we actually do here.
Viral hepatitis. Chronic HBV and HCV, co-infection, and the long follow-up after a cure so the liver you saved stays saved.
Fatty liver and metabolic disease. MASLD, NASH, obesity, diabetes. Non-invasive staging, then nutrition, exercise, and medication. See the fatty liver page.
Alcohol-related liver disease. From fatty liver to alcoholic hepatitis and cirrhosis, with primary-care and hepatology in the same circle.
Autoimmune and cholestatic disease. Autoimmune hepatitis and related cholestatic disease, managed as a long relationship, not a one-time consult.
Liver cancer. Evaluation and treatment planning, including newer options such as histotripsy when they fit. We coordinate, we do not disappear after the scan.
Transplant. Evaluation and lifelong follow-up. Dr. Hassanein helped build three transplant programs. That experience sits in this clinic.
General GI. GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, inflammatory bowel disease, and medical weight management, because the gut and the liver share a waiting room.
HALO. The process that holds all of the above together. See the rings.
